I was also accepted into the Masters of Accounting (MAcc) program at the University of Utah and will start that this January. The MAcc is only a one year program, so I will be officially done with school next December! It is so wonderful to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Recruiting Time
It is recruiting time for accounting firms which means a lot of socials, open houses, and interviews. This leaves little time for homework. This week I have 3 interviews and 2 pre-interview events. I am hoping to have some more interviews the next week. The first round of interviews are all in Salt Lake, so I have yet to miss a class. Here are pictures from 2 of the socials I went to.
Deloitte threw a tailgate party at a restauraut where we watched a U of U game.
KPMG had a BBQ in a park.

Update on Life
Life has been really crazy lately. I spent most of August studying for the GMAT which I took yesterday. I was really excited to receive the score that I needed. But life doesn't slow down. This month I will be getting to know and interview with the big accounting firms for a summer IT Auditing internship in San Jose, California. I finally decided that San Jose is the spot to live. I was thinking about Washington D.C., but Adam talked me out of that one. Adam and Alison are also planning to go somewhere around San Jose for Adam's summer internship. Below are the pictures for the Utah State Fair that we all went to yesterday.
Above is a sculpture made out of butter. How cool is that? Notice the big smile on my face, this picture was taken a few hours after receiving my GMAT score.
