An Idaho Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we spent in Idaho with my mother’s parents. My Aunt April and Uncle Mark were also there with their three little boys. The best thing about Thanksgiving is the relaxation. There is no school, no work, and lots of family. What a great holiday!

Just look at how relaxed we are.

My dad also thought it was the perfect time to go shooting... of course.

Internship

I have signed on to do my summer internship with PwC in Salt Lake City. It was interesting to see how things turned out for me, since I only applied for San Jose on all my applications. I really liked the systems & process assurance (SPA) group that I will be working with in SLC, and I am very excited to work at PwC.

I was also accepted into the Masters of Accounting (MAcc) program at the University of Utah and will start that this January. The MAcc is only a one year program, so I will be officially done with school next December! It is so wonderful to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The Hike Through the Subway

Last weekend my Dad and Brother went on a work sponsored hike. They went down to Zion National Park to hike the subway. My dad came back really sore and now feels his age.

Halloween!

Again, this Halloween I was the only one in my family that dressed up (I was a construction worker). I think my family has just become a bunch of bums when it comes to this holiday.

Another Trip to Lake Powell

Last week my parents stayed in a house boat at Lake Powell. My dad’s work sent some of their employees on this little retreat, and my dad happened to be one of them.

5K Run

Last week I participated in a 5K run at the University of Utah with the Beta Alpha Psi members. Our club was awarded a $1000 scholarship for having the most members from a campus organization there. At the time I had a cold, so I walked instead of running.
