Done with the Tests

From January 12th until July 9th, I have been studying and taking my CPA tests (there are 4 in all). It was one of the most miserable things I have ever done, but I am happy to say that I have passed all my tests. I can think of nothing worse than having to retake one of those horrible, nasty tests. I am now on my way to becoming a Certified Public Accountant. Hooray!

Below is a video that I find very enjoyable.

Victoria's Baptism

On Saturday my cousin Victoria had her baptism, and of course there was a family get-together for her!

The bridal pose (hehe):

Now don't we look like cousins?

Expert Roofer

Lehi can have some very powerful wind storms. A few of times a year, my father has to replace patches of shingles on the roof that the wind has blown away. He has now become an expert in the area of roofing due to all of his patch work. Here is my father going to work on the latest wind mishap. And yes, for some reason he is vacuuming the roof in these pictures.

Shakespearean Festival

Last week my parents and Jonathon went to Cedar City for the Shakespearean Festival. Going to the festival is one of my parent's favorite things to do, and they try to make it down once a year.

My family also did some site seeing in Southern Utah. One of the places that they visited was the oldest LDS chapel that is still in use.

Los Angeles

I just started my new job at PricewaterhouseCoopers (the firm I did my internship with), and the past 3 weeks I have been in classes for training. The classes just so happen to be in LA. For the past 3 weeks I have been flying back and forth to LA, spending the weekdays in LA and the weekends at home. Unfortunately, there aren't many tourist sites in downtown LA, but all of us new hires were able experience some excellent restaurants. Also, our hotel was kitty-corner to the Disney Concert Hall - I thought that was pretty cool :)

The Strong Cousin

My aunt and cousins from Las Vegas stayed the night at my parents' house last night. My 12-year-old cousin, Christa, decided to give me a piggy-back-ride around the house, and did it with little effort. What a strong cousin I have! Granted, I am not the heaviest person.

A New Hobby

With no more school and no more studying for the CPA test (I am still waiting for my last score to come back), I came to realize that I had free time - something I haven't had for a very long time. Instead of using up this free time in front of the TV, I decided that I should develop a hobby. One of my good friends bought a long board and loved it. So I, along with some other friends, decided to buy one too. Here are some pictures from our first long boarding adventure on a path in Provo Canyon. Can you tell that we were totally excited?

When I first told my parents about long boarding, my father wasn't thrilled with my choice of hobby. He told me I should pick up golf - apparently I would have a greater chance of marrying a millionaire with that hobby.
