Family Vacation - Part II

Day 3
We went sight seeing around Yellowstone.

This was how close the buffalow came to our car

Then around four o'clock, we arrived at the Hunter reunion cabin in Idaho which was about 40 min. away from Yellowstone. Of 5 of my mother's brothers and sisters, four of them and their families were able to make it. Lauralee and her family live is Sweden and won't be able to come to the states for two more years.
Later that night we sang camp songs around a fire

And Jonathon just couldn't resist getting his hair done.

Day 4
We took our cousins to Yellowstone.

Day 5

We went geocaching which is like treasure hunting using a G.P.S. (my Dad's new favorite toy). Here we found the cache in this abandoned fireplace.

Day 6
We said good-by to everyone and headed back to Utah.

Family vacation 2006 - Part I

Last week we went on a 6 day family vacation which was a blast!
Day 1
We went camping in the Grand Tetons. We stayed the night in a tent-cabin (half tent, half cabin)

Day 2

We headed to Yellowstone, while making several stops in the Grand Tetons. Our favorite stop was along Lake Jackson.

We soon found out that Jonathon was an expert at skipping rocks.

He tried teaching my mother, but it turned out to be a hopeless cause. She was just not meant to skip rocks :(

Dad found a "cool" stick (just look at the smile on his face) and had my mother admirer it with him.

When we made it to Yellowstone, my Dad sat and relaxed as we (Alison, Jonathon, and me) had to set up the tent.

Summer Fun

Finals are finally over! I think I did fairly well (crossing my fingers). I am now officially half way done with school!
Today's post is dedicated to summer and to show what we have been up to. I have spent most of my time studying hard all summer. Exciting, I know.Jonathon has been spending most of his time building with lagos and playing on the computer with friends. Alison has been mostly working, but prefers not to have her picture taken in her uniform.
Then, my dad has been spending a lot of time at the shooting range. My mother, on the other hand, has spent most of the summer worry about him.
