A New Hobby

With no more school and no more studying for the CPA test (I am still waiting for my last score to come back), I came to realize that I had free time - something I haven't had for a very long time. Instead of using up this free time in front of the TV, I decided that I should develop a hobby. One of my good friends bought a long board and loved it. So I, along with some other friends, decided to buy one too. Here are some pictures from our first long boarding adventure on a path in Provo Canyon. Can you tell that we were totally excited?

When I first told my parents about long boarding, my father wasn't thrilled with my choice of hobby. He told me I should pick up golf - apparently I would have a greater chance of marrying a millionaire with that hobby.

Pioneer Day with the Degns

For Pioneer Day, my parents invited my dad's family over for a big backyard party. The kids' favorite things were the rabbits. We had enough baby rabbits that everyone was able to hold their very own rabbit.

My dad also had many helpers when he watered and fed the rabbits.

The kids had fun playing 4 square and picking raspberries.

We gilled both feathered chicken and furry "chicken."

When it became dark, the party was closed with fireworks.

Cancun, Mexico

2 weeks ago, all my mother's siblings, their spouses, and my grand parents went on a week long trip to Cancun, Mexico. Of course they had a blast! Here are some of their pictures.

Yes, that is a wall of sculls.

4th of July Weekend in Southern Utah

For the 4th of July weekend I went with some friends and stayed at a cabin near Zion's National Park. One of the funnest things we did was watch a hot dog eating contest in St. George. I just loved it!
We also hiked part of the Narrows at Zion's which was something that I have always wanted to do.

Yes, I do have a wonderful farmers tan on my arms from running.
