The Garden and Building Shade

I have taken over the family veggie garden for the past 3 years now. So it is unofficially my garden. All last year, Adam kept telling me that the garden was my boyfriend because I would constantly talk about it with him, and I would show him every new growth.

This year the garden has exploded with abnormal growth and has become a little over grown (very health, but over grown). The reason for the booming growth – rabbit poop. That is the secret! One of my tomato plants is literally 4 feet wide. If you too would like to experience this wild garden growth, we have plenty of rabbit poop to spare.

We just had 3 new born kits die last week because of the heat, so my dad decided to build his rabbits shade. Here he is hard at work protecting his rabbits from the ferocious sun.

My New Place

I moved back up to Salt Lake City in May, but I have been too lazy to post any pictures of my new place. I love the neighborhood that now I live in! It is one of the safest and prettiest areas in Salt Lake. I also really like my roommates as well.

Now time for a house tour!

My mother made this quilt for me in high school, and I thought it would be the perfect time to use it. I bought the bedroom set right before I moved in from KSL.

All in all, the house has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The girl that owns the house is my roommate, so it kept in good condition. Her mother is also an interior designer, if you couldn't tell.

My First Boating Trip

This weekend my friends and I went to Deer Creek Reservoir for my first ever boating trip. It was fun, but I am paying for it today with achy muscles, battle bruises, and lobster coloring.

It is kind of funny that there was snow in the mountains because the water was 70 degrees and the air was in the high 90's.

4th of July with the Hunters

This year for the 4th of July we invited my mother’s family over. Rob’s, Jonna’s, and Eric’s families were all there along with my grand parents.

The kids had fun playing 4 square,

picking berries,

chasing Hamlet (the rabbit that we let run loose),

and lauching water balloons.

Earlier that day 2 of my older cousins and I got a pedicure.

And of course there were fireworks.

Degn Brothers + Guns = Happy Weekend

My dad, Graham, Victor, and the Mosses planned a shooting trip for last Friday in honor of Tom’s expected arrival in Utah. Unfortunately, Tom was unable to make it to Utah in time for this shooting expedition, and the guys had to have fun without him.

These are the only pictures my dad got of himself. Apparently the back of his head is his best side.

Thus with Tom's arrival, my dad had an excuse to go out shooting again on Monday. This time it was only him, Victor, Tom, and Nathan.

Temple Open House with the Hunters

On Friday Morning I went to the Oquirrh temple open house with my grandparents and cousins. It was very pretty inside. South Jordan is now the only city with 2 temples.

We had a hard time keeping our eyes open outside for pictures because it was so bright!
