Is It Fog or Dirt?

The answer is DIRT! The wind was so bad yesterday that Salt Lake valley was engulfed in a cloud of dirt. This was what my drive home from work looked like.

The Fence that Blew Down

Today has been a very windy day for Utah... so windy that my parent's fence blew down.

This post is more for the kids. Here is one of the little kits trying to get around on the slippery hardwood floor. It is really cute.

Stray Rabbit

My dad sent me this e-mail and picture this morning:

Here is the stray rabbit that decide to call our yard home. It was

trying to get into the rabbitry. We finally put some food and water in
a small transport cage and set it by the rabbitry fence. This morning
it was laying in the cage. I just walked up and shut the cage door. It
made no attempt to get up. When I put up the fence in front of the
rabbitry I was thinking of keeping dogs and foxes out, not stray
rabbits.

A Time for Shooting

My dad's uncle was in town last weekend. So there was a little shooting get together with him. My uncle Graham, my dad, and I all braved the freezing wind to shoot a few rounds.

Trying Out Skiing and the Storm

My roommate was given some free passes to Deer Valley Ski Resort and invited me to go with her yesterday. The one thing you should know about Deer Valley is that no snowboards are allowed. So my roommate had to teach me how to ski. She is such a nice roommate!

Later that night, there was a family party (I just love those things!) at my Aunt Amalie's house. Driving home on the highway next to her house in Lehi was nerve wrecking due to the bad wind and snow. Here are some videos of the storm.

Powder!

Utah finally received a good snow storm on Friday. Brighton received 24", and so my friends thought it would be a perfect time pay a visit to the mountains.
