Pioneer Day with the Degns

For Pioneer Day, my parents invited my dad's family over for a big backyard party. The kids' favorite things were the rabbits. We had enough baby rabbits that everyone was able to hold their very own rabbit.

My dad also had many helpers when he watered and fed the rabbits.

The kids had fun playing 4 square and picking raspberries.

We gilled both feathered chicken and furry "chicken."

When it became dark, the party was closed with fireworks.

Cancun, Mexico

2 weeks ago, all my mother's siblings, their spouses, and my grand parents went on a week long trip to Cancun, Mexico. Of course they had a blast! Here are some of their pictures.

Yes, that is a wall of sculls.

4th of July Weekend in Southern Utah

For the 4th of July weekend I went with some friends and stayed at a cabin near Zion's National Park. One of the funnest things we did was watch a hot dog eating contest in St. George. I just loved it!
We also hiked part of the Narrows at Zion's which was something that I have always wanted to do.

Yes, I do have a wonderful farmers tan on my arms from running.

Brand New Car!

I bought a brand new car on Saturday! It is a 2011 Toyota Camry, and it drive so smoothly. I just love it! The nice thing about 2011 Toyotas right now is that they have 0% interest for 5 years with no down payment. How could I resist a deal like that?!

The Wasatch Back

Last weekend I ran in the Wasatch Back which is a 188 mile relay race from Logan to Park City, Utah. It was an exhausting experience, but totally worth it. One of the people on my team made a blog about our race. These are some of the pictures from her blog. To see more, go to http://pwcragnar2010.blogspot.com/2010/06/blog-post.html

Major Car Problems

On Sunday my car overheated, and my parents had to come to my rescue. So on Monday my dad helped me change the thermostat which ended up being the problem.

Then on Tuesday morning, when I tried to leave for work, my car wouldn't start. After having my car towed to a shop, I found out that my timing belt broke and that the pistons were bent. The cost to fix the problem is more than my car is even worth. Now I get to car shop... Oh joy...

Memorial Day

For Memorial day, we had a family BBQ at my aunt Amalie's house. It was the perfect day to jump on their trampoline. Check out our air shoots :)

Can you guess what type of meat this is?
